To meet a specific printing requirement and choose a suitable screen, many factors must be considered comprehensively. That’s because the ink deposition, fluidity, and graphic resolution are determined by the parameters like mesh number, wire diameter, mesh opening and so on. So how to choose a suitable stainless steel printing mesh?

1. The mesh must be adapted to the using ink, that is, the average ink fineness is compatible with the opening size of the mesh. The mesh opening should be 3 to 5 times of the average ink fineness. Because 10%-20% of the ink particles are larger than the average fineness. For example, for ink with an average fineness of 10μm, the mesh opening should be 30～50μm.

2. At the same time, the mesh is also related to the ink penetration volume. The higher mesh number, the lower ink penetration and the thinner the ink layer on the substrate. For example, there are certain requirements for the thickness of the ink layer when printing anti-electroplating inks. So we should pay attention to the mesh number.
